Ready?

We’re just a little over two months before the start of the 2009 season, so I guess it’s almost time to really start getting things going again. Let’s see, what’s on the list:

- Get everyone signed up on ESPN
- Set a date to start getting money in
- Determine how much money each team owes
- Set schedule
- Set date for draft

Wow, that’s a lot to do. Let’s start with the money part – since we’re not spending about $12 per team on Sportsline, we should decide if we will now incorporate that money into winnings or if we should reduce dues.
I’m leaning towards $60 per team with the payouts similar to last year – $300 for first place, $150 for second, $100 for third, $50 for division winners and Points Champion. We can also keep the $1 per transaction.
Do you think we should pay more to get larger payouts or keeps things kind of low in order to not put as big a strain on some of us in these challenging economic times?

  1. I’m all for being budget minded in these trying economical times. Being the “rookie” of the league, I don’t know how much throw I have here, but, the payouts I think are good “as-is”.

  2. Leave the dues the same and increase the payouts.

  3. I’m for reducing the dues… Considering my family 2 people in the league…..
