As I alluded to a couple of days ago, I was considering making a switch to a different service for our fantasy football needs. Well, I just got an email from Sportsline telling me that my league is now ready to go for the 2009 season. And if I pay early, they’ll chop $30 off the price of the service. The bad news is the price of the service has shot up to $179!!! So, now I’d be getting the great deal of spending $149; we paid $129 last year.
I honestly thought that given their competition is giving their services away for free that Sportsline would consider dropping their price at least, but they went ahead and upped the price. And are they by any chance aware that people don’t have as much disposable income as they used to? Just a terrible decision by Sportsline. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere for the 2009 season and beyond.

Big difference between $149 and FREE. Hopefully ESPN isn’t that bad, although I do like Sportsline. But hey I really like FREE!
